Muscat: The Royal Oman Police (ROP) has arrested ten expats for beggary, and for violating labour and residence laws. In another case, four more foreign nationals were arrested for attempting to enter the Sultanate of Oman illegally.
“Dhofar Governorate Police Command has arrested ten people of different nationalities on charges of begging, and violating the laws of labour and residence. The legal procedures are being completed against them,” ROP said in a statement.
Meanwhile, Coast Guard Police in South Al Sharqiyah Governorate seized a boat carrying four persons attempting to enter the Sultanate illegally. The legal procedures are being completed against them.
