Muscat: The Civil Aviation Authority has issued an alert for some parts of the Sultanate, warning of heavy rainfall in the coming hours.
“Rainfall of between 20-40 mm expected over some areas. Thundershowers accompanied by fresh winds and hail, as well as possible flash floods over North Al Batinah, South Al Batinah, Al Dakhliyah, Muscat and north Al Sharqiyah,” the Authority said.
“The Authority advises all to take precautions during rainfall and flash floods, check the sea state before sailing and keep monitoring the weather bulletins.”
