Exploration Manager, Oman

Requirements

Minimum bachelor degree with15+ years exploration experience, including significant operational / HSSE / NTR exposure, with track record of project & operational delivery in mature exploration heartlands for Shell.
Minimum of 10 years of leadership experience managing large integrated teams and accountability for technical exploration maturation (+20 people)
Assured HSSE Competent leader
Established track record of developing Exploration Strategy/ Growth strategy (+5 yrs experience) and integration with full business unit
Anti-Bribery and Corruption (ABC)/ Ethics and Compliance – Knowledge/ Mastery and track record of more than 5 years of Exploration Venture management with successful management risks.
Track record of deliver of Member of global exploration leadership team
Track record of delivery in managing exploration Ventures from pre-deal to operational execution to venture exit (3+ Ventures through life cycle)
Deep experience with Stakeholder management (+5 years) – internal and external with Government officials
Experience in managing a ‘matrix’ style organisation – reporting line through global exploration and dotted line through Oman Shell
Track record of delivery and +5 yrs experience with delivering top quartile Venture derisking for cost, subsurface quality and schedule.
Ability to deliver under pressure, sense of urgency and decisiveness, coupled with strong sense of pragmatism and reality.
Strong leadership skills and ability to create motivated, high performance teams and work with
Ability to build, coach, motivate and develop a relatively newly created team
Able to manage workload based on business impact/priorities
Strong commitment to achieving goal zero
