MUSCAT: His Royal Highness Prince Mohammed bin Salman bin Abdulaziz al Saud, Crown Prince, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Defence of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia (KSA), will visit the Sultanate of Oman, on Monday.
A statement from the Diwan of Royal Court said that the visit is based on the deeply-rooted historical relations binding the Sultanate of Oman and the sisterly Kingdom of Saudi Arabia and is aimed at consolidating the bonds of love and affection between the two peoples.
The statement said that the visit comes to complement the outcome of the meeting of His Majesty Sultan Haitham bin Tarik and his brother King Salman bin Abdulaziz al Saud of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, during His Majesty’s visit to the KSA in July this year.
A number of fields and aspects of common concern will be discussed during the visit of His Royal Highness Prince Mohammed bin Salman bin Abdulaziz al Saud, Crown Prince, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Defence of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, to serve the aspirations of both peoples and their hopes of a more prosperous future.
Abdullah bin Saud al Anzi, Ambassador of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia to the Sultanate of Oman, said that the visit of His Royal Highness Prince Mohammed bin Salman bin Abdulaziz al Saud, Crown Prince, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Defence, to the Sultanate of Oman, comes in confirmation of the deeply-rooted historical and distinctive relations binding the two countries. He added that it will be a historical visit as it will take the Omani-Saudi relations to broader horizons.
In a statement to Oman News Agency (ONA), the ambassador said that the visit of His Majesty Sultan Haitham bin Tarik to the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia and his meeting with his brother King Salman bin Abdulaziz al Saud of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, and His Royal Highness Prince Mohammed bin Salman bin Abdulaziz al Saud, represented a quantum leap for the Omani-Saudi relationship established by the late His Majesty Sultan Qaboos bin Said, may Allah the Almighty have mercy on him, after his first visit to the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia. Today, he said, we are witnessing that clear path being continued by His Majesty Sultan Haitham bin Tarik.
The ambassador added that this visit will bring about a qualitative leap and a new, prosperous and progressive stage that will be reflected in both countries and realization of the aspirations of the two brotherly peoples. The visit will contribute to the strengthening of cooperation and achieving integration and harmony in all fields, as there are common denominators between the Oman Vision 2040 and the Saudi Vision 2030.
The ambassador said that the achievements made by His Royal Highness the Crown Prince of KSA and the initiatives and projects he had announced are due to His Highness’s outstanding leadership personality and his insightful and serious vision that contributed to the realization of these achievements that became a source of pride for the Saudi, Arab and international peoples.— ONA
