Muscat: Qais Mohammed Al Yousef, Minister of Commerce, Industry and Investment Promotion, issued Decision No. 190/2021 promulgating the Technical Regulation of the Concurrence System governing imported products to ensure that they do not pose risks to human health, the environment or public safety.
The Technical Regulation will apply after six months from its date of publishing in the Official Gazette.
It will help streamline customs procedures and encourage small and medium enterprises to tally the specifications of their local products with international standards, so that they could compete locally and abroad. –
