Muscat: The Telecommunications and Regulatory Authority (TRA) has confirmed that that mobile telecommunication services cover more than 70 per cent of the Rub-el-Khali highway.
The TRA said in a statement: “Mobile telecommunication services cover more than 70 per cent of the land route passing through the border port between the Sultanate of Oman and the sisterly Kingdom of Saudi Arabia.”
It includes 11 telecommunications stations, 6 of which are for Ooredoo, 5 for Omantel, and 3 are joint stations between the operators.
