Chief Executive Officer – TANMIA (Omani Nationals Only)
Role Purpose:
Achieving the mandate & objectives of TANMIA company by executing the approved strategy and managing the overall operations and resources of the company. Acting as the main point of communication between the board of directors and TANMIA executive management to implement the board orders and effectively manage the company commercial or strategic investments in both public & private markets.
Key Result Areas:
Generation of company business plan in alignment of company approved strategy
Financial performance of the company
Effective integration of all functions in the company
Management and development of teams & employees
Management of company risks
Shareholders satisfaction
Key Roles & Responsibilities:
Collaborate with the board to continuously assist the company vision and to update the strategy for achieving that vision.
Develop annual operating plans & budgets considering strategic directions provided by the board and obtain the board approval for these plans.
Lead the planning and decision-making processes in relation to investments and management of portfolios and fundraising.
Ensure achievement of the targeted productivity/ performance of company projects/ investments.
Responsible for company growth & acheiving long-term financial targets of TANMIA.
Proactively plan acquisitions, expansion, exits, and establishing new joint ventures and deals.
Provide the board with company financial reports and all other required information.
Oversee the company operations and ensure compliance with corporate governance and all other related legal and regulatory requirements.
Advocate In-Country-Value by incorporating various local investment initiatives.
Responsible for appropriate announcements of all company publications & media releases.
Promote a culture that reflects the organization’s values & raise employees’ performance.
Ensure that the human resource & other policies are in alignment with the values of TANMIA.
Develop and monitor a risk management framework that reflect the best practices and implement risk management strategies approved by the Board across all business activities and operations.
Set out and monitor performance standards in such key areas of operations and maintenance, operating efficiency, physical and financial resources.
Develop and maintain excellent contacts with the local authorities and stakeholders / investors in order to further business interests.
Manage staff related matters (selection, development, appraisal, succession, motivation, engagement, termination, etc.).
Minimum Requirements:
Qualification:
Bachelor Degree in Finance/Management or related discipline is required.
Post graduate qualification in management is required.
Experience:
Minimum 15-20 years of relevant experience is required.
Experience in a leadership role in Oman is desired.
Technical and Soft Skills:
Business acumen and commercial orientation is required.
Strategic thinking and problem solving skills are required.
Strong analytical skills are required.
Ability to forecast market trends, analyze financial information & evaluate investment opportunities.
Excellent leadership and people management skills are required.
Excellent public relations and decision making skills are required.
Excellent communication and presentation skills are required.
