Job Title : SECTION HEAD – FINANCE BUSINESS SUPPORT

Preferred Qualification : Undergraduate/Postgraduate degree holders in Accounting, Finance, any other related disciplines
Preferred Years of Experience : Preferred 4 years of relevant experience in Financial accounting & control, budget & cost control, reporting, treasury, risk management, finance business support functions. Also, candidates with distinctions and upper-class grade graduates or postgraduates or finalist or chartered professional with recognized accountancy and financial qualifications could be considered
Additional certificates Required : Finalist or charter holders of relevant professional certifications CIMA, CMA, ACCA, CPA, CFA, CA is preferred • Specialized MBAs with relevant experiences. • Knowledge of SAP S/4 HANA. • Good analytical skills, attention to detail and an excellent MS office suite literacy • Extrovert, strong organizational, critical thinking, and customer service skills with applied emotional intelligence; • Multi-task and able to manage competing deadlines as well as to work under pressure: • Solid in IFRS, management, cost accounting analytical review, system & processes review • Advanced excel skills (ability to build financial models). • Strong projection and forecasting skills, risk and compliance aware
JOB PURPOSE
Financial Accounting:
To support the accounts of the company and its investments by applying accounting principles and procedures, assist senior management by analyzing financial information, perform monthly reconciliation of accounts, finalization and prepare accurate and timely financial reports.
Budget, Cost Control & Reporting:
To support the budget, cost control and reporting services of the company and its investments by applying Financial/ accounting principles and procedures, assist senior management by analyzing financial information, prepare monthly & quarterly financial reports & statements with focus on profit & loss accounts, budgets, cash flows/working capital & resource consumption & capital expenditures and analytic explanation on performance variances.
Treasury:
To support the treasury of the company and its investments through developing and operating robust cash, investment, capital and debt management tactically, as well, on the long-term strategic targets.
Governance, Compliance & Risk Management:
To support the governance, risk and compliance of the company and its investments in defining, assessing, exposures, governance matters, regulations, standards, and law compliance requirements and quantifying probable impact as to put in place the appropriate risk treatments and ensure compliances at all fronts.
Finance Business Partner “FBP”:
To develop “FBP” concept in the company and its investments to work closely with various business units creating a real and active partnership with both operations and management providing real time
support and analysis, as a trusted adviser, and to add value that will assist in decision making.
GENERAL MANAGERIAL ACCOUNTABILITIES
Strategy and Planning
· Work closely with the finance leadership and executive management to deliver and follow-through on Strategic goals set for the business plan and required alignment in view of market dynamics
· Transact the KRA to KPI link for departmental implementation and performance management.
Policies, Process and Procedures
· Support in review and development of PPP in line with the company standards.
Compliance with Standards and Regulations
· Ensuring integrity, honesty and accountability and full compliance with Company Code of Business, and governing regulations, laws, and the different standards.
Continuous Improvement (Management of Change)
· Change Management Advocate
· Act as Lean catalyst and waste eliminator from inefficient processes, through Value Stream Mapping
· Responsible to drive “Innovative” improvements and follow through.
Minimize Risks
· Ensure proper ERM management with Risk Department and close-out of any exposure gaps with Risk Champions, Risk Owners and Management.
Health, Safety and Environment
· Lead from Finance on Safety Walks, and implementation of QHSE best practices with strict compliance especially in Pandemic time.
People Management
Mentoring junior colleagues, ensure proper knowledge transfer and advanced skills learning on job.
SPECIFIC ACCOUNTABILITIES
Operations
§ Support and subsequently lead the preparation of monthly, quarterly and annual financial statements (profit and loss accounts, budgets, cash flows/working capital and resource consumption and capital expenditures) to be presented to the respective stakeholders within and outside the organisation
§ Ensure timely and accurate management reporting on key operating drivers along with variance analysis as per the budget
§ Support to provide control on the operating and capital expenditure budgets to assist in keeping track of important operational decisions and raise alarms to Senior Finance leadership wherever required
§ Assist in implementing various financial internal controls and risk management systems, frameworks and policies and procedures
§ Manage the processing of all invoice’s upon receiving written approval and related documentation from the respective Departments within company or controlled investments.
§ Support in managing reconciliation on all pre-payments and expenses against the approved budgets and highlight significant deviations for corrective action or write-off. Carry out the reconciliation of all bank accounts in order to ensure that all banking transactions are accurate
§ Operate various sub-modules such as payables, bank reconciliations, receivables or fixed assets. Ensure that these financial operations are updated in the ERP system (SAP)
§ Support in monitoring purchase orders against the approved budget to ensure that there are no cost overruns, escalate any concerns/issues wherever relevant
§ Coordinate with various financial activities with stakeholders; banks, contractors, suppliers, auditors, and other concerned parties as and when necessary
§ Assist in analysis, feasibility studies for ad-hoc projects and other new projects as and when required
§ Lead to deliver better understanding, of financial reporting on business performance
§ Provide analysis and delivering insight that links financial reports to business strategies across the organization
§ Providing effective commercial procedures, or initiating change, to ensure key operational, commercial and financial targets are delivered
§ Building partnerships and maintaining strong relationships with all stakeholders internally and externally.
§ Ensure accurate, meaningful and timely reporting of financial trends.
§ Make visible risks and opportunities in the company’s related operations and identify suitable mitigation plans.
§ Develop business driver based forecasting and financial analysis.
§ Develop new KPI’s to make visible the underlying operational performance.
§ Focus on Value Creation and profitability of the departments.

§ Support treasury in operational management on better use of surplus cash and liquidity management within the given investment guidelines.

§ Provides support as needed on strategic initiatives including modeling and due diligence as required
