- GM Commercial Oman and New Business Development (NBD)
Requirements
Commercial/business background, with extensive asset commercial and deal-making experience.
Professional qualification with significant upstream industry experience preferred.
Extensive experience at a senior level working with Joint Venture Partners, NOCs, and Governments to realise and deliver long term value, managing complex agreements and relationships with partners.
Deep upstream gas and LNG value chain and global market experience
Strong power of analysis to translate complex opportunities into clear value propositions, and a proven ability to assess both commercial and non-technical risks.
Experience in integrating complex techno-commercial projects.
Leadership and staff management skills, and the ability to influence and motivate individuals from a variety of backgrounds to work together in pursuit of team goals.
A Demonstratable broad base of experience and strong business acumen, including international business leadership experience as well as experience working in or governing a joint venture project or business.
Ability to interface, engage and influence a wide variety of stakeholders, including NOV boards, Company directors, EC members, and other senior Shell business leaders, Country Chairs, staff, contractors, and other security professionals.
Proven track record of developing, implementing, and managing complex commercial agreements.
Strong communication (written and verbal) and interpersonal skills – the ability to pull together a coherent story based on facts and insights to build credibility with senior stakeholders, internally and externally.
Proven leader of community with strong Team Leadership and People Development Shell People Survey scores.
Strong hands-on experience in commercial, operational management, and line accountability for complex interactions, management of significant Technical and Non-Technical Risk, and management of both internal and external stakeholders, preferred.
The incumbent will need to have the ability to combine internal and external focus, to think short term and long term, to consider Shell’s position in each venture to realise value today and in the long term.
Inquisitive with a questioning and challenging mindset – ability to look at the big picture and to go into the key details to test ideas and findings
