Muscat: The Supreme Committee has decided to reduce the staff attendance at the units of the state’s administrative apparatus and other public legal persons to 50% out of the total number of employees. Other employees will perform remotely.

The Supreme Committee has decided to postpone the holding of all conferences and exhibitions.

The SC urged establishments to operate to adhere to precautionary measures while also not exceeding 50% of capacity, especially in restaurants, cafes, shops, and event halls. Vaccination, social distancing, wearing of masks will be mandatory.

All conferences and exhibitions will be postponed and all activities of a public nature will also have to be postponed or held in the absence of spectators, with mandatory controls for all participants, including proof of vaccination.

Friday prayers will not be held anymore while daily prayers will continue, provided that the number of worshipers does not exceed 50% of the capacity of the venue and prayers are held in accordance with guidelines of the Ministry of Endowments and Religious Affairs in coordination with the Ministry of Health.
