New Delhi: India’s Ministry of Health and Family Welfare on Thursday revised its guidelines for international arrivals in the wake of the flattening curve in the country and around the globe.
The latest guidelines will be effective from February 14, the ministry said in a statement.
India has revised its advisory for international passengers as the Covid-19 situation in the country eases, allowing some international travellers from some select countries to upload the certificate of full vaccination. Passengers coming from these countries can either upload a negative Covid-19 RT-PCR report, the test being conducted within 72 hours prior to the journey, or they can upload their vaccination certificate.
As per the new rule, fully vaccinated passengers traveling to India from Oman need not do a PCR before the trip. They can upload their vaccination certificate instead.
Further, the health ministry recommended 14 days of self-monitoring post-arrival as against a seven-day home quarantine which was mandated earlier.
In the latest revision of the international travel guidelines, India has also removed the list of the at-risk countries, in a major step towards normalization of international travel.
