MUSCAT: Ten projects have qualified for the final stage of the Bilarab Bin Haitham Award for Architectural Design. The 10 qualifying projects were submitted by 19 young men and women entrants from the Sultanate of Oman. They include 5 individual teams and 5 group teams.
The 10 projects have qualified for the initial review stage scheduled to be held on February 27-28 and the entrants will be invited to present details of their projects before the jury to be discussed elaborately from the technical and engineering perspectives.
The judging panel urged the finalists to modify and improve the technical designs of their projects after clarifying the points that should be revised for each project. The panel stressed the importance of preparing a visual presentation for the final submission of the project provided that their submissions are sent no later than 10 am on Thursday, February 24.
It is noteworthy that the site designated for development for this year’s award is located in Al Mina district in the Wilayat of Muttrah with a total area of 7,500 square metres. — ONA
