Over 2500 people benefit from Al Rahma Association charitable initiative

Muscat: The total cost of charitable programmes of Al-Rahma Association for Motherhood and Children Welfare in the first quarter of 2022 has crossed OMR 280,000, where 2657 people in need have benefitted from it.

Al-Rahma Association said in its quarterly report: “During the month of Ramadan the association’s teams distributed 2,500 food parcels, 700 sacrifices and 1,500 flour bags to needy families from various governorates of the Sultanate of Oman. In addition, exhibitions of Eid Al-Fitr clothing were held in 6 wilayats: Seeb, Al Qabil, Muttrah, Liwa, Samad Al-Sha’an and Al-Khaboura.”

The association added that the donation of Eid al-Fitr clothing will be deposited in the bank accounts of orphans and families which are OMR 42,900 for 1,430 families from the Governorate of Muscat and OMR 22,230 for 1,545 orphans from various governorates of the Sultanate.

The association said in its report that during 3 months, with a total amount of OMR 123,835, 1,600 people benefited from the orphan sponsorship initiative.
