MUSCAT: The Men’s National Team en-tour of USA for the final leg of the ICC Cricket World Cup 2023 tri series between USA and Nepal start their campaign today against in-contention USA for the qualifications to the ICC Cricket World Cup Qualifiers in 2023.
Ahead of the tri series, Oman played MLC’s Invitational XI twice as practice games for the CWC League 2 matches. Both sides were evenly poised – MLC beating Oman in the 1st game and in return Oman beat MLC in the later. Of the squad, Kashyap Prajapati and Zeeshan Maqsood looked in sublime form in the batting department while Bilal Khan and Fayyaz Butt looked sharp delivering with the ball.
USA are coming into the series having played their previous leg of the series vs Scotland and UAE winning a game each to both and losing a game as well. Nepal on the other hand come into the series fresh but not having played any ODI’s in the last 2 months.
Oman sitting at 40 points of 32 matches on top of the CWC League 2 table yet does not let them relax as they look to strengthen their lead attaining 8 achievable points.
Oman will play USA on June 8 and 12 while they play Nepal on June 9 and 14 respectively. All matches will be starting at 7:30 pm GST.
