Muscat: An earthquake of magnitude 5.9 has been monitored in the Arabian Gulf on Saturday, the Earthquake Monitoring Centre (EMC) at Sultan Qaboos University said.
EMC said in a statement that an earthquake in Arabian Sea with a magnitude of 5.9 was recorded at 7.37 am MCT and at a depth of 10 km. The earthquake was recorded 206 km away from Khasab.
