Job Requirements:
Knowledge, skills and experience
Essential
· A doctorate degree in any discipline, or a masters’ degree in education
· Successful track record of developing and maintaining quality assurance systems that create a culture of quality in the institution
· In-depth knowledge of OAAA requirements for accreditation
· Good understanding of academic development functions
· 5 years’ experience of working in Quality Assurance
· Excellent communication skills in English
· Good presentation skills
Desirable
· Ability to lead research in teaching and learning related areas
· Excellent communication skills in English AND Arabic
· In-depth understanding of institutional planning processes
· Experience in monitoring and review processes
· Knowledge of other accreditation systems, e.g. ABET
· Experience of having worked with ISO accreditation processes
Personal attributes
Essential
· Ability to engage staff and motivate to perform at their best
· Demonstrated leadership ability
· Ability to interact with senior stakeholders (such as BoT members, senior managers in other institutions, industry managers, senior managers in MoHERI)
· Ability to multitask and work on several projects simultaneously, while monitoring progress simultaneously
· Resilient, enthusiastic and with the ability to work under pressure and met operational goals
Desirable
· Ability to network with quality assurance staff at other HEIs
