Muscat: The cable car project is coming to the Governorate of Dhofar, the Minister of Heritage and Tourism stated.
The Minister of Heritage and Tourism said in a tweet through his official account: “The cable car in Darbat is coming through the main developer, and qualitative and diverse investment opportunities are available to everyone, and in all of this our vision is clear and the plans are comprehensive.”
Last week he met with the Board of Directors of Omran to assess the progress of work in the implementation of tourism development projects.
The development and establishment of tourist destinations in the Governorate of Dhofar was among the list of priorities.
Speaking at a meeting with Dhofar Chamber of Commerce and Industry members he said that it is not within the Ministry’s competence to licence or establish public utilities, but that those responsibilities have been specified for relevant governorates and ministries.
