Muscat: The Royal Navy of Oman organised an official reception for the ship Shabab Oman II at Port Sultan Qaboos in Muttrah.
The ship had participated in races and festivals and visited many international ports and marinas as part of its sixth international voyage to the European continent (Oman, the land of peace), which came In implementation of the Royal orders of His Majesty Sultan Haitham bin Tarik, Supreme Commander of the Armed Forces.
A function was held under the patronage of His Highness Sayyid Taimour Asaad Al Said, Chairman of Board of Governors of the Central Bank of Oman (CBO).
The ceremony began with the military salute to His Highness Sayyid Taimour, the patron of the occasion, who inspected the guard of honor. As the ship approached its berth, the Marine Arts Troupe of the Royal Navy of Oman performed a number of traditional marine arts with a visual presentation of the voyage.
As the ship anchored, the captain of the ship invited His Highness, their Highnesses and Excellencies, leaders and senior guests to board the Shabab Oman II ship and they shook hands with its crew, greeted them on their achievements, and their active participation in the sixth international voyage (Oman, the Land of Peace). His Highness and the attendees viewed the awards received by the ship (Shabab Oman II).
