Majan University College (MUC) held the first meeting of The Industry Advisory Panel on 21st of September 2022. The aims of the meeting are to Strengthening the Bridge Between Academic and the Industry through the Academia-Industry Collaboration, and to shrink the gap and amend the academic input to sync with contemporary requirements in the job market, with strive to benefit of society and to achieve the outcomes of Oman Vision 2040. The panel consists a various representative from several industries in Oman, along with academic staff from MUC’s faculties.
The meeting started by a welcome speech by Dr. Maha Kobeil the Dean and CEO of MUC, followed by presentations of the Head of Faculties of Business management, Information Technology and English Language Studies. The meeting consisted of focused sessions to discuss the gap between the industries on the job market and the curriculum of MUC’s programmes. In addition, to advise the faculties in the college on curriculum planning and development and suggest measures to enhance the employability skills of its graduates.
