Muscat: His Majesty Sultan Haitham bin Tarik on Thursday issued his Royal directives to promote the 2012 batch of Omani government employees, who are under the civil service scheme and other systems who are eligible for the promotion, effective from from the next year, 2023.
His Majesty the Sultan also directed to fix vehicle fuel prices according to the month of October 2021 as a maximum until the end of 2023.
During the meeting, HM gave directives to extend the disbursement of the job security fund in favour of the laid-off Omani workers whose services were terminated in the Sultanate of Oman until the end of June, 2023.
His Majesty directed the launch of the “National Program for Financial Sustainability and Development of the Financial Sector” for a period of three years; starting from January 2023; to make the financial sector a major enabler for the growth of investments and the economy, in a manner that guarantees the continuity of all development programmes.
The Council of Ministers approved the abolition, reduction and merger of an additional set of government service fees to ensure support for the economic sectors, to enhance the competitiveness of the national economy, and to facilitate the completion of government procedures. This is a continuation of efforts to review government service fees.
