MUSCAT: ESG Football Academy Under 12 and Under 14 Teams were crowned champions of the Oman Youth Football League on Saturday. The league which has been taking place over the last five weeks was held at the new first-class ABA Oman International School facilities.
Teams from all over Muscat competed every week in what was a great opportunity for young, talented players to showcase their football skills.
The ESG Football Academy teams did well to fend off all challengers to lift their first Oman Youth Football League titles. ESG Technical Director Coach Dom said: “It’s been great that all the kids can come together and play competitive football in this amazing environment. There was some exceptional talent on show and fantastic football played. I’m delighted with how our boys competed and its always nice to come away with the winning trophy. Participating in league games has been brilliant for our players’ development and we’ll continue providing these opportunities for them.”
Next stop for the ESG teams will be the Manchester City Abu Dhabi Cup in February 2023, a tournament they have already won back in 2019!
