The Royal Academy of Management on Sunday launched ‘The National Initiative for Local Government Development,’ which includes three main components – programs, an index of the Competitiveness of Services in the governorates, and studies.
The Initiative was launched in partnership with the Ministry of Interior and the Governorates, under the auspices of Sayyid Hamoud bin Faisal al Busaidi, Minister of Interior.
It aimed at achieving balanced local development in accordance with the directions of Oman Vision 2040 by strengthening governors’ skills in governance and economic
decentralization and providing them with best practices in local government.
