Muscat: The Weather Office on Friday said sporadic light rains in the governorates of South Al Batinah, Muscat and South Al Sharqiyah are expected on Saturday and Sunday.
Weather Office on Thursday said a drop in minimum temperatures is expected on Saturday and Sunday, due to northwesterly winds blowing over mountains and deserts.
“A drop in minimum temperatures is expected on Saturday and Sunday due to the northwest winds in the Sultanate of Oman. The minimum temperatures on mountains tops are likely to drop to below five degrees Celsius with chances of frost formation in the evening/dawn on Saturday and Sunday,” the Meteorology office said.
On Wednesday, Saiq station reported the lowest temperature of 9 degrees Celsius while Al Amerat reported the highest temperature of 30.8 degrees Celsius in Oman.
