Muscat: Satellite images show the movement of cumulus clouds associated with the tropical condition ‘Mandous’ from India to the southeastern Arabian Sea, according to Oman Meteorology.
It is classified as a surface tropical disturbance near the western coasts of India.
Expectations indicate that there will be no direct effect on the Sultanate of Oman.
Oman Meteorology added that the medium-height waves appear on the coasts of the Arabian Sea, reaching a maximum height of 2m, with the possibility of the sea wave gradually rising to rough waves, reaching a maximum height of three meters during the period from December 16-18, 2022.
There are chances of seawater extending over low coastal areas on the Arabian Sea.
