Outlander Earns Top Rating in 2022 Latin NCAP Safety Test
The Mitsubishi Outlander has achieved a five-star rating in the 2022 Latin New Car Assessment Program (NCAP), an automobile safety assessment program for vehicles sold in Latin America and the Caribbean.
Mitsubishi Motors remains dedicated to its safety philosophy, striving to realize a mobility society with zero traffic accidents by continuously developing safety technologies and promoting awareness of traffic safety.
The Outlander features Mitsubishi Motors’ high-rigidity RISE2 body and seven SRS airbags, ensuring superior collision safety performance. Additionally, it is equipped with advanced safety features, including a Forward Collision Mitigation system (FCM) that enhances preventive safety performance. These features have earned the model five-star ratings in JNCAP3 in Japan, as well as in the ANCAP4 in Australia and New Zealand.
With “I-Fu-Do-Do” as its product concept, translating to authentic and majestic in Japanese, the Outlander represents Mitsubishi Motors’ flagship model, bringing its expertise in all-wheel control technologies to the masses. To date, approximately 260,000 units of the Outlander have been sold worldwide.
