Onsor, a subsidiary of the Ithca Group, has launched a revolutionary innovation for humanity—”Nexa”—in a ceremony held at the Royal Opera House Muscat under the patronage of His Highness Sayyid Dr. Kamil bin Fahd bin Mahmoud Al Said, Secretary General of the General Secretariat of the Council of Ministers. The event was attended by H.E. Dr. Hilal bin Ali Al Sabti, Minister of Health, alongside esteemed dignitaries, executives, and a distinguished group of doctors, experts, and investors from the technology and healthcare sectors. This milestone marks a significant step forward in epilepsy care, reinforcing Onsor’s commitment to harnessing cutting-edge technologies to improve quality of life.
Nexa is designed to enhance the lives of epilepsy patients by predicting seizures up to an hour before they occur, allowing individuals to take necessary precautions and minimize risks, thereby enabling them to lead more stable and secure lives. The technology utilizes neuromorphic computing powered by artificial intelligence to analyze vast amounts of data and deliver highly accurate and effective solutions.
Eng. Said bin Abdullah Al Mandhari, CEO of Ithca Group, emphasized the importance of supporting innovation and technology to enhance individual and societal well-being. He stated that Ithca Group is committed to backing projects that provide sustainable solutions and drive transformative advancements both technologically and humanistically. He added, “Such initiatives reflect our ambitious vision to support innovation and progress across all fields, where the Omani people serve as the driving force behind transformation and development.”
Meanwhile, Eng. Muadh bin Ahmed Al Hinai, CEO of Onsor, expressed his enthusiasm, saying, “The launch of Nexa embodies our commitment to developing innovative technological solutions that improve human lives. Nexa is not just a technology—it is a tool of hope for epilepsy patients, helping them overcome health challenges through the synergy of artificial intelligence and human-centered care.”
The event featured a live demonstration showcasing Nexa’s capabilities, illustrating how the technology enables patients to proactively monitor and manage their health. The discussion also highlighted the role of innovation in bridging technology and medicine to improve patient care.
Additionally, Nexa’s launch aligns with a collaborative approach with the Ministry of Health, providing expertise, data support for research and clinical trials, and expanding neuromorphic computing technology on a global scale.
Onsor concluded the event by reaffirming its dedication to delivering advanced technological solutions that create a positive impact on people’s lives, positioning Oman as a leading hub for technological innovation aimed at improving global well-being.
