وزعت ” إشراقة”، جناح كيمجي رامداس للتنمية الاجتماعية، مؤخرا آلات حياكة الملابس “ماكينات خياطة” على ثلاث جمعيات نسائية عمانية في ولايات العامرات، سمائل، والعوابي، وذلك تماشيا مع أهدافها ودعمها المستمر لاستقلال المرأة ماليا، ويعد هذا المشروع واحد من العديد من المشاريع التي تقوم بها “إشراقة” في إطار مبادرتها ” قدرات ” لتمكين المرأة العمانية.
وقامت إشراقة بتوفير آلات الخياطة لجمعيات المرأة العمانية، كما عملت هذه الجمعيات على تنظيم ورش عمل لتدريب نساء عمانيات على تقنيات خياطة الملابس وغيرها من الأنشطة، والذي بدوره ساهم في جعل هؤلاء النساء قادرات على الاعتماد على أنفسهن وتوفير مصدر دخل لأسرهن.
وتعمل إشراقة، جناح كيمجي رامداس للتنمية الاجتماعية، على دعم المرأة العمانية ضمن مبادرتها في تمكين المرأة ” قدرات” والذي يأتي كبرنامج خاص لدعم المرأة العُمانية لتشجيعها على النهوض والاعتماد على نفسها وخلق فرص عمل ودخل خاص بها.
وتعليقا على حاجة النساء إلى نظام أفضل لتمكينهن، قال نايليش كيمجي، عضو مجلس إدارة مجموعة كيمجي رامداس: “إن تطوير القدرات هو فقط الذي سيساعد النساء على أن يصبحن مستقلات اقتصاديا”. وأضاف قائلا: ” ونحن في إشراقة مستعدون دائمًا لتقديم كل الدعم المطلوب للنساء في التعليم والرعاية الصحية ورفاهة المجتمع والتدريب “.. ” لقد استفادت المبادرة من الإمكانات التي تتمتع بها نساء هذه الولايات الثلاث عندما يتلقين التدريب والتوجيه المناسبين.. حيث جاء هذا الدعم من أجل تحقيق أهداف الجمعيات في تمكين المرأة العمانية.
وأثنت موزة بنت عبدالله الخروصية، رئيسة جمعية المرأة العمانية بولاية العوابي على مبادرة ” قدرات” وقالت: ” تمهد الخياطة الطريق للتعلم والتمكين، وسوف يقطع العمل الاجتماعي لإشراقة كيمجي رامداس شوطًا طويلاً في جعل النساء يقفن بمفردهن، ومعتمدات على أنفسهن”.
وأكدت شيخة بنت سالم الكحالية، رئيسة جمعية المرأة العمانية بولاية العامرات قائلة: “يعد تمكين المرأة مفتاحا رئيسيًا للتنمية الاجتماعية والاقتصادية في العالم، ولذا فالدور الذي تلعبه إشراقة على هذه الجبهة يستحق أن يحتذى به وأن يتكرر في العديد من الأماكن الأخرى في السلطنة “.
وقالت رابعة بنت سيف الجابرية، رئيسة جمعية المرأة العمانية بولاية سمائل: “إن مبادرات إشراقة تمكن النساء من تحقيق أحلامهن وخلق فرص معيشية منتجة للنساء العاطلات عن العمل”.
وتسعى إشراقة جاهدة للعمل مع المؤسسات المحلية لدعم تنمية المرأة في محاولة للانخراط في نشاط إنتاجي من شأنه أن يدر الدخل لقوتهن ويعزز تمكينهن.. وقد تم اختيار آلات الخياطة هذه من قبل الجمعيات نفسها ويمكن استخدامها لأنواع مختلفة من التطريز والخياطة.
الجدير بالذكر أن “إشراقة “، جناح كيمجي رامداس للتنمية الاجتماعية تسعى جاهدة لتحسين حياة المجتمع المحلي من خلال سلسلة من المبادرات، وذلك كجزء من التزامها بتمكين المواطنين العمانيين من خلال توفير سبل الوصول إلى تحقيق إمكاناتهم الكاملة، وقامت مجموعة كيمجي رامداس ببناء علاقات تعاون مع المؤسسات العامة والمجتمعية والتعليمية على أساس غير هادف للربح، وللمساعدة في تطوير المجتمع العماني بشكل عام، فكانت بمثابة مصدر إلهام للشباب العماني وتمكين المرأة العمانية على وجه الخصوص. ولقد ساهمت هذه الجهود المجتمعية في تحسين مستوى الحياة في العديد من القرى في جميع أنحاء السلطنة.
Sewing machines distribution under Eshraqa’s Qudurat
Program promotes women’s empowerment
MUSCAT — In line with its objectives and continuous support to making women financially independent, Eshraqa, the social development arm of Khimji Ramdas recently distributed sewing machines to three Omani Women’s Associations in the wilayats of Amerat, Samail and Alwabi. This is one of the many projects under Qudurat, which is Eshraqa’s Omani Women Empowerment Initiative.
For these women, life has changed dramatically after they started a new life engaged in sewing and made themselves self-reliant. The women have also been trained in tailoring techniques at a workshop by the respective Women’s Association.
Stressing the need for a better ecosystem for women empowerment, Nailesh Khimji, Director, Khimji Ramdas, said that only skill development will help women to become economically independent. “And we, at Eshraqa are ever-ready to render all the required support to women on their education, healthcare, community wellbeing and training,”
The initiative has tapped the potential the women of these three wilayats have when they receive the right training and mentoring. Eshraqa’s sewing machines project has been a boon to these women.
Moza bint Abdullah Al Kharusi, the head of the Omani Women Association in Wilayat Alwabi, was all praise for the Qudurat initiative when she commented: “Sewing paves the way for learning and empowerment. And KR’s social act will go a long way in making the women stand on their own.”
Sheikha bint Salim Al Khali, the head of the Omani Women’s Association in wilayat Amerat, was being candid when she said, “Entrepreneurial instinct and activity among Omani women at the grassroots is exemplary. We act as facilitators. Women empowerment is a key component of socio-economic development in the world, and the role played by Eshraqa on this front deserves to be replicated in many other pockets of Oman.”
Rabaa bint Saif Al- Jabri, the Head of Omani Women Association in the wilayat of Samail said that Eshraqa’s community initiatives empower women chase their dreams and create productive livelihood opportunities for the unemployed women.”
Eshraqa strives to work with local organizations to support the development of women in a bid to engage in productive activity that will generate income for their sustenance and promote their empowerment.
These sewing machines were selected by the associations themselves and can be used for various types of embroidery and tailoring.
Eshraqa, the CSR Arm of KR Group in the Sultanate, strives to improving the lives of local community through a gamut of initiatives.
