Muscat: His Majesty Sultan Haitham Bin Tarik yesterday received phone calls from Sheikh Tamim Hamad Al Thani, Emir of Qatar, and Sheikh Mishaal Al Ahmed Al Jabir Al Sabah, Deputy Emir and Crown Prince of Kuwait who reassured themselves about conditions in Oman during the tropical cyclone Shaheen that prevails in the Sultanate.
His Majesty the Sultan expressed his sincere thanks and appreciation for their kind initiatives, praying to the Almighty Allah to protect them and their countries against all harms.
His Majesty Sultan Haitham Bin Tarik received cables of solidarity from Sheikh Nawaf Al Ahmed Al Jabir Al Sabah, Emir of Kuwait, and President Mahmoud Abbas of Palestine and Chairman of the Executive Committee of Palestine Liberation Organisation (PLO).
Sheikh Nawaf and President Abbas expressed their solidarity with the Sultanate as it experiences exceptional climatic conditions due to the tropical cyclone /Shaheen/. They prayed to the Almighty Allah to endow His Majesty the Sultan with good health and spare him and Omani people all harm.
