Classes at school to remain suspended in some parts of Oman

Muscat: It has been decided to continue the suspension of classes at schools in the Wilayats of Suwaiq and Al-Khaboura till the end of Thursday, October 14.

Classes will resume from Sunday, October 17, a statement by the Oman News Agency said.

The statement pointed out that the decision was taken in order to achieve the partnership and coordination between the General Directorate of Education for North Al Batinah Governorate and the parents’ councils in the schools of the wilayats of Suwaiq and Al Khaboura, and due to the inability of some students from the affected areas to attend as well as to preserve the safety and health of students.

The Ministry of Education announced the completion of the readiness of most schools in the governorates of North Al Batinah and South Al Batinah to operate, starting tomorrow, Sunday 10,2021.
