Muscat: With an aim to ensure the safety of houses affected by the tropical cyclone (Shaheen) and to contain damages on internal wiring of electricity networks, a number of licensed technicians, in coordination with Engineering Services at the Ministry of Defense and voluntary teams, took part in the initiative.
In an online statement, the National Committee for Emergency Management (NCEM) said, “The power companies operating in the Sultanate will bear all costs of wiring-related repairs and testing and switchgear exchanges. This came as part of the efforts exerted to contain the aftermath of the cyclone that caused severe damages to electricity networks.
