Muscat: Dr Ali Amer al Shidhani, Under-Secretary of the Ministry of Transport, Communications and Information Technology for Communications and Information Technology, received Deemah al Yahya, Secretary-General of the
Digital Cooperation Organization (DCO), in Muscat on Tuesday. The visit comes to familiarise with the digital economy system in the Sultanate. DCO Secretary General will introduce goals of the organization in accelerating the growth of the digital economy in the region.
During the meeting, Dr Al Shidhani reviewed the Sultanate’s efforts in the field of digital economy and the strategic projects of the communications and IT sector, besides the initiatives and programs being implemented by the ministry with partners in public and private sectors. The meeting reviewed aspects of cooperation in digital economy fields between the two sides.
Meanwhile, DCO Secretary General went on tour to Sas Center in the ministry. During the visit, she familiarized herself with the programs and services rendered by the center. ONA
