Military committee continues to address impacts of Cyclone Shaheen

Muscat: The Main Military Committee for Emergency Management at the Sultan’s Armed Forces (SAF) continued its meetings at Muaskar Al Murafa’a.

They are meeting for assessing the current stage and for following with the various national roles and duties of the Sultan’s Armed Forces and the other departments of the Ministry of Defence.

The meeting also aimed at addressing the impacts of exceptional weather condition (Cyclone Shaheen) in accordance with the national plan aimed to accelerate bringing the condition back to normal in coordination with the National Committee for Emergency Management (NCEM).

The meeting also discussed execution of the plans and field works of the military committees for emergency management in the governorates of North and South Al Batinah

The meeting was chaired by Brigadier Abdulaziz Abdullah Al Mantheri, Assistant to SAF Chief of Staff for Operations and Planning and chairman of the committee in the presence of the members.
