Muscat: The Sultanate, represented by the Ministry of Finance is currently taking part in the annual joint meetings of the World Bank and the International Monetary Fund (IMF) for 2021.
The Sultanate is represented in the 4-day virtual meetings by Nasser Khamis al Jashmi, Secretary-General of the Ministry of Finance, with the participation of the Executive President of the Central Bank of Oman.
The meetings, hosted in the US capital Washington, discuss a range of topics, notably studying the financial situation of the World Bank, the IMF and their affiliated organizations as of 30 June 2021.
The meetings also review the developments of the financial and economic situation in the world.
Moreover, on the sidelines of the meetings, Arab ministers of finance will hold their annual meeting with the President of the World Bank.
The meeting will cover a range of financial and economic topics, as well as development prospects in the Arab world. –ONA
