Muscat: Qais Mohammed al Yousef, Minister of Commerce, Industry and Investment Promotion met here on Monday with Dr Sultan Ahmed al Jaber, Minister of Industry and Advanced Technology in the United Arab Emirates (UAE).
The meeting discussed means of promoting industrial cooperation between the two brotherly countries. It also reviewed ways to enhance cooperation in strategic industries and investment opportunities in the industrial sector.
Meanwhile, a meeting was held on the sidelines of the Emirati delegation’s visit between representatives from the business and industry sectors of the two countries. This meeting was attended by a number of officials from Oman Investment Authority (OIA), the Public Authority for Special Economic Zones and Free Zones (OPAZ) and Madayn.
During the meeting, the OIA gave a presentation on the investment opportunities and its affiliated companies. OPAZ also gave a presentation on the investment opportunities in Duqm, while Madayn highlighted the partnership between the private sector and the future development projects in its industrial estates. –ONA
