MUSCAT: The Main Military Committee for Emergency Management held a meeting to review the humanitarian and field operations in North and South Al Batinah governorates on Wednesday.
The meeting was chaired by Brigadier Abdulaziz bin Abdullah al Mantheri, Assistant Chief of Staff for Operations and Planning of the Sultan’s Armed Forces (SAF), Chairman of the Main Military Committee for Emergency Management.
The committee listened to a briefing via video conference from the two military sub-committees which included the ongoing and accomplished field operations and expressed its readiness to provide support when needed in accordance with the joint action with the National Committee for Emergency Management.
The military units undergo the tasks of engineering work related to the restoration and recovery operations, opening and rehabilitation of roads and the restoration of protection dams that were affected by the tropical condition. — ONA
