Main Military Committee for Emergency Management holds meeting over relief work

Muscat: The Main Military Committee for Emergency Management at the Sultan’s Armed Forces held a meeting, at Muaskar Al Murafa’a yesterday.

The meeting was chaired by Brigadier Abdulaziz Abdullah Al Mantheri, Assistant to SAF Chief of Staff for Operations and Planning and chairman of the Main Military Committee for Emergency Management, aimed at assessing the field and humanitarian work accomplished in the Governorates of North and South Al Batinah.

The Committee was briefed via videoconferencing by the military committees in the two governorates on the fieldwork and their support efforts extended in accordance with the joint work mechanism and in coordination with the National Committee for Emergency Management.

The military units in the governorates are tasked with completion of the engineering works related to repair of some roads along with assisting in repair of protection dams affected with the cyclone.
