Muscat: Vice Admiral Abdullah Khamis al Raisi, Chief of Staff of the Sultan’s Armed Forces (SAF), on Wednesday went on tour of the site of the Military Emergency Committee (MEC) at Al Murtafaa Garrison.
Al Raisi listened to a briefing about plans to contain the repercussions of the recent climatic condition /Shaheen/ and the ongoing coordination with the National Committee for Emergency Management (NCEM) to rally efforts to restore normalcy to the stricken areas in North Al Batinah and South Al Batinah.
He commended the performance of the MEC, other military and security units, civil and non-governmental organisations that joined hands to serve citizens and residents who suffered the impacts of the cyclone. –ONA
