Muscat: Kuwaiti cabinet has decided to allow people to move outdoors without wearing face masks from October 24, 2021.

“His Highness the Prime Minister Sheikh Sabah Khaled Al-Hamad Al-Sabah, on Wednesday, announced the entry to the fifth phase of the gradual plan of returning to normal life,” Kuwait News Agency (KUNA) said in a statement.

During a press conference, the Government Communication Centre Head Tariq Al-Mezrim said that the Kuwaiti cabinet decided to drop social distancing restrictions between worshipers at mosques as of October 22.

He also noted that the cabinet decided to allow people to move outdoor without wearing face masks, but required them to wear masks indoors while adhering to social distancing as of October 24.

The cabinet allowed holding conferences, weddings, social gatherings for those who received two doses of the Covid-19 vaccines.

It also decided to allow issuing visas for those wishing to enter Kuwait who already received two doses of Covid-19 vaccines (certified in Kuwait health ministry).

Al-Mezrim said that the cabinet allowed Kuwait International Airport to work with its full capacity as of October 24.

His Highness the Prime Minister thanked citizens and residents for their commitment to implementing the health requirements during the past period and for their willingness to receive the COVID-19 vaccine, said Al-Mezrim.
