Muscat: The Special Economic Zone at Duqm celebrates next week the opening of the first factory in the China-Oman Industrial City in Duqm.
The factory is specialised in the production of non-metallic pipes made of reinforced polyethylene, which are mainly used in collection networks and transport the output of hydrocarbon wells.
The Oman News Agency said: “The Special Economic Zone at Duqm celebrates the inauguration of the first factory in the China-Oman Industrial City in Duqm, which is the Hongtong Duqm Pipe Company’s factory. It is the first project of its kind in the Sultanate that was established with an Omani-Chinese partnership.”
