Pact signed to build 35 houses in Al Khabourah

Muscat: The Ministry of Housing and Urban Planning on Wednesday signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with Dar Al Atta’a Association to fund building 35 housing units for citizens whose houses were damaged by the tropical condition (Shaheen) in the Governorate of North Al Batinah.

The ministry will provide the layout for the new houses, which will be built on areas far from the path of wadis. The ministry will also provide the designs for the houses and will supervise their construction.

The move comes as part of the ministry’s initiative to build 328 housing units for citizens affected by the tropical condition.

The MoU was signed by Dr. Khalfan Said Al Shu’aili, Minister of Housing and Urban Planning and Maryam bint Issa Al Zadjali, Chairperson of Dar Al Atta’a Association.
