Singer Diana Ross made fun of her music video for the first time in more than a decade while preparing to release her new gratitude-themed studio album, Thank You, later this week.
The 77-year-old Ross, who made a name for himself as the lead singer of The Supremes, a very successful women’s group on Motown Records in the 1960s, recorded a video of his new song “All Is Well.”
This clip shows a studio set being built over time, and Ross in a black dress sitting in a chair singing the opening lyrics of the track.
“My sons gave me the confidence and encouragement to make this video,” Ross said in a statement Wednesday.
“After nearly two years of not performing and not in front of the camera, they made it easier for me to be around a lot of people.”
Ross will release her first studio album “Thank You” on Friday since “I Love You” in 2006. She recorded a new track in her studio during the COVID-19 pandemic.
“I’ve recorded new music over the past year. It reflects the joy, love and gratitude I feel every day. It’s a great appreciation album for life and all of you.” Said Ross.
“It was urgent for me to make a meaningful album and work on what is happening in our world. Through the power of music, we make our choices and the decisions we make. I’m creating a new kind of conversation to support.”
It is said that not only reflective songs but also bright songs such as “If the World Just Dance” accompanied by videos of dance fans all over the world are recorded. — Reuters
