Mumbai: Children below the age of five years, arriving into India from foreign countries, will no longer have to undergo a pre-arrival or on-arrival test according to the revised guidelines for international arrivals released on Thursday.
A notification by the Indian Union Ministry of Health and Family Welfare, issued on Thursday, said, “Children under 5 years of age are exempted from both pre- and post-arrival testing. However, if found symptomatic for COVID-19 on arrival or during home quarantine period, they shall undergo
testing and treated as per laid down protocol.”
This Standard Operating Procedure shall be valid from 12th November 2021 (00.00 Hrs IST) till further
orders.
