A personal car or public transport?

When Mama Dog didn't expect the warm welcome…

With the ongoing increase of population all over the world, transportation is becoming a real troubling issue in many countries indeed. As it is one of the key necessities in everybody’s daily life, transportation requires a constant attention of improvement from the authorities concerned in every nation. Everybody is in need of transportation, regardless of its kind. Nowadays, owning a car is becoming an urgent necessity more than just being a complement to other life necessities. Most people cannot bear their life without having a car of their own.

On the local front, many start owning a car immediately after completing secondary school. The car will be the first thing they think about as they join a college, a university or a job. Can you imagine yourself without having your own car at least for a day? Undoubtedly, you would feel that your life is unbalanced as there is something important missing. Even if you are living with your family, you need to have a personal car to manage daily tasks. Today, a car is regarded a way of reaching all other things in life; a fact that is undeniable indeed!

As a country with no widely covered public transport system, we have no choice, but to have has his own car. Hence, in a family of 10 people, you might need to have at least five to seven cars if not one for each! Other than that, in some families, you can see people having more than one car, so they end up having more cars than the number of family members. This is in worst-case scenario, which is very obvious unfortunately. Just imagine if this happens in three houses within a neighbourhood of twenty to thirty houses.

If it happens, the place will end up full of cars parked in every corner of the road and front yards of the houses. It is really unbelievable and intolerable scene! However, it is really happening in some parts of the country! In fact, having a car is being more important than anything else in people’s life. Due to the unreliability of the public transport system in the country, people are forced to use their own cars wherever they want to go. They cannot rely on the irregular public buses, and taxis, which are not reliable most of the time.

For all these reasons, having a personal car is a most appropriate option for everyone here. Public transport should always be very convenient and consistent. We need a reliable daily transportation system that could serve citizens, residents and tourists alike. Accordingly, people prefer to use their own cars. All they need an integrated network of bus services for instance.

In a bid to improve the public transport, a proper system shall be introduced with a bus service for example. A dedicated road for such service needs to be designated for city buses perhaps to serve mainly those commuting to office from different parts of the city. This new service can certainly make commuting easier for people instead of using their personal cars.

Further, similar service could be launched to serve commuters and people in other parts of the country. Thousands of people travel daily from the interiors to the capital and they need such service to make their daily commuting safe and comfortable.

Having a reliable public transport system like in other developed countries is undoubtedly everyone’s dream. If this dream comes true in future, a lot of public and social issues would be solved. The increasing number of car accidents and frustrating traffic jams are among the main issues that people face every day on their way to office and back home.
