Muscat: In a thrilled Premier Division match of the Oman Cricket League played over the weekend at Al Amerat Turf 1 ground, Renaissance edged out Yalla Shabab by 16 runs.
Put into bat after Yalla Shabab won the toss, Renaissance scored 239 for the loss of six wickets in their allotted 50 overs. Asif Khan top scored with 57 off 42 balls, with two boundaries and five sixes. Abdul Rauf Atta Ullah scored a cautious 55 off 83 balls while Mahmood Sufyan contributed a run-a-ball 53. Jitenkumar Ramandi and Wasim Ali each picked two wickets for Yalla Shabab.
In reply, Yalla Shabab top order failed to fire, with only Wasim Ali scoring a sedate 78 off 104 with six boundaries and one six. He was ably supported by Fawad Malook [30] and Jitenkumar Ramandi [37]. Bilal Muhammad took three wickets for 61 for Renaissance. Fawad Ali, Mahmood Sufyan and Asif Khan took two wickets each.

In another Division A match of the Oman Cricket League played on Saturday, LC Tech beat Ernst & Young LLC by 5 wickets. LC Tech won the toss and put Ernst & Young to bat.
Only opener Issa Al Balushi fired for Ernst & Young, scoring 58 off 68 balls, with seven boundaries and three sixes. The other notable contribution came from Rana Zeeshan, who scored 47 runs. Rahul Ramachandran was the wrecker in chief, picking up six wickets for 25 runs.
In reply, LC Tech knocked off the target in 39.4 overs, for the loss of five wickets. Jaleel Mahamood top scored for LC Tech with 57 runs, studded with five boundaries, while Masud Parvez was the pick of the bowlers for Ernst & Young, picking up two for 36.
