Muscat: The effect of the low-pressure trough located over the Sea of Oman and northern parts of the Sultanate has begun.
The peak of the weather instability is expected to be experienced on Tuesday and Wednesday.

The Met Office on Monday morning reported on the presence of low clouds/fog over parts of Al Sharqiyah South Governorate and the Central Coasts.
By Sunday, a spread of low clouds and fog were over parts of the governorates of South Al Sharqiyah, Al Wusta, Dhofar, and Al Buraimi.
According to a specialist at Met Office, Civil Aviation Authority, Mohammed al Mashaykhi, the effect has been experienced in Lima first, which is situated in the east of Musandam.
“Within the next one hour, the rain will be experienced and is expected to spread across Musandam coast,” said the meteorological specialist.
Oman Sea is expected to have heavy rains.
“North Al Batinah is expected to be affected later part of Monday. They might experience some hail as well,” he pointed out.
The situation experienced might generate a fresh downdraft. Muscat also might receive rains but the highest amount of rainfall is expected in North and South Al Batinah and some parts of Al Hajr Mountains.
Along the coastal area of the Arabian Sea winds will be northeasterly light to moderate while along the Oman Sea it is expected to be easterly to southeasterly light to moderate.
Rest of the governorates the wind will be northerly to northwesterly light to moderate.
Chances of low-level clouds or fog patches over parts of Al Buraimi, Al Dahirah, Al Dakhiliya, North Al Sharqiya, South Al Sharqiya, Al Wusta and the coastal areas of Oman Sea.
