Muscat: The Ministry of Health (MOH) has denied social media reports about the possibility of the presence of the Omicron in the Sultanate.
The surveillance system that monitors the epidemiological situation is effective.
MOH called on all citizens and residents to follow preventive measures such as social distancing, avoiding crowded places, wearing masks in closed places, maintaining hand hygiene, as well as expediting to receive the booster dose for the eligible age groups.
It also called on everyone to take the correct information from official sources.
