MUSCAT: His Highness Sayyid Taimour Asaad al Said, Chairman of Board of Governors of the Central Bank of Oman (CBO), has received a hallmark commemorating the 40th anniversary of the Arab Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) as a gift for His Majesty Sultan Haitham bin Tarik.
The memento was delivered to HH Sayyid Taimour by Dr Mohammed Yousef al Hashel, Governor of Kuwait Central Bank, when he received the latter in his office here on Monday.
The meeting touched on aspects of cooperation between the financial and banking sectors and ways to develop integration among GCC monetary systems.
The meeting was attended by Tahar Salim al Amri, CEO of the CBO, and Dr Sulaiman Abdullah al Harbi, Ambassador of the State of Kuwait to the Sultanate of Oman. — ONA
