Majees, Oman Stallions win convincingly; Yalla Shabab, Renaissance win

Muscat: Majees beat top of table Muscat CT by 121 runs in the Premier Division 50 over league match of Oman Cricket in Al Amerat Turf 1 on Friday.

Put to bat first by Muscat CT , Majees scored 198 courtesy contribution from Khurram Kham – 90 of 124 balls; losing all 10 wickets in 49.2 overs. Samay Shrivastav was Muscat CT’s scalper bagging 4 wickets in his 10 overs. In return, Muscat CT tumbled down for just 77 with Ubaidullah and Khawar Ali bagging 3 wickets each.

In another Premier Division 50 over league match played on friday, Oman Stallions thumped AER by 7 wickets chasing the target in just 5.3 overs.

Put to bat first , AER could only muster 52 losing all their wickets courtesy of Bilal Khan and Hemal Tandel who were the wreckers in chief bagging 3 wickets each. Oman Stallions chased the target loosing 3 wickets and scoring 53 in quick succession.

Brief Scores – AER 52/10 in 13.1 overs (Bilal Khan 25/3 ; Hemal Tandel 22/3 ) lose to Oman Stallions 53/3 in 5.3 overs by 7 wickets.

On Saturday , Yalla Shabab trounced IAS by 30 runs on Turf 1 in the Oman Cricket Premier Division league in Al Amerat.

Put into bat , Yalla Shabab scored 225 for 10 wickets in 47.2 overs with Gustav Burger being the man through the innings scoring 139 of 131 balls. Khalid Rashid was the strike with the ball for IAS bagging 5 wickets in his quota of 10 overs. In return , IAS could only drag themselves close to the target scoring 195 in all. Rao Waqar and Waseem Akhtar held the ship for resilient 40’s to their scores.

Brief Scores – Yalla Shabab 225/10 in 47.2 overs (Gustav Burger 139(131) 14×4,4×6 ; Khalid Rashid 38/5) won against IAS 195/10 in 48.1 overs (Rao Waqar 49(80) 3×4 ; Mohd Nadeem 32/3) by 30 runs.

In another Oman Cricket Premier league match on saturday, Renaissance thump ARTT by 66 runs.

Electing to Bowl first , ARTT restricted Renaissance to 195 with Pruthvi Machhi solely contributing to the total with his 74 of 96 balls , courtesy Mohd Imran Latif picking 5 wickets.In return, Renaissance charged upto ARTT letting them just to 129 spearheaded by Ajay Lalcheta’s 4 wicket haul.
