Muscat: People in Oman who have been infected with COVID-19 must return to institutional quarantine as soon as they are confirmed to have the disease, the Majlis Al Shura has said.
The suggestion came during a meeting of the council’s Health and Environment Committee, as part of being thoroughly prepared to deal with the spread of the Omicron variant.
Another point made by the Shura Council in this matter was the need to conduct regular PCR tests for early detection of COVID, in addition to urging members of the public to get vaccinated with booster doses as soon as they are eligible.
