Algiers: The Sultanate of Oman, represented by the Ministry of Higher Education, Research and Innovation concluded its participation in the 18th conference of Arab Ministers of Higher Education and Research.
The three-day conference, held by Algeria in cooperation with the Arab League Educational, Cultural and Scientific Organization (ALESCO), was themed “Higher Education and Scientific Research in the Arab World by 2030: Vision and Directions”.
The Sultanate of Oman’s delegation was headed by Dr Bakhit Ahmed al Mahri, Undersecretary for Higher Education.
The conference discussed the developments of higher education and research systems within the UN’s Sustainable Development Goal 4 (SDG-4) Education 2030 agenda, among other topics.
Moreover, the conferees drafted a document on higher education and research in the Arab World by 2030. –ONA
